Roman was born in western Ukraine and brought up in Brandon, Manitoba. He grew up playing competitive volleyball and soccer, which sparked his passion for physical activity and put him on the path towards becoming a physiotherapist.
After completing a BSc in Chemistry at Brandon University, Roman moved to Winnipeg to earn his Masterโs in Physical Therapy. While studying at the University of Manitoba, Roman was recognized for his involvement on the student council, and for covering national and local sporting events such as the Manitoba Marathon, Manitoba Golf Open, and MHSAA volleyball tournaments.
Roman is a strong believer in lifelong education and using evidence-based approaches in his practice. Having completed an array of clinical placements from private sports clinics to spinal cord rehab, Roman understands the value in unique, patient-centred treatment. Christy has been a Registered Dietitian since 2008. After graduating from the University of Manitoba and Manitoba Partnership Dietetic Program, she packed up and headed straight for the West Coast where she has been grateful to live and work and play ever since.
She has provided nutritional care in a variety of settings and specialties, including kidney health, liver health, gastrointestinal health, diabetes management, womenโs health, surgical recovery, and intensive care. Her broad range of experience has given her the ability to work with a diverse group of clients. Nina was born and raised in Victoria. She spent 16 years as a competitive synchronized swimmer and coach, but these days sheโs a mother of two young kids and struggles (just like everyone else) to squeeze her exercises in each day.
She attended the University of Victoria where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology before continuing on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2012.
Nina has continued her professional development by completing courses in functional dry needling/IMS, acupuncture, manual therapy, TMJ dysfunctions and concussions. She developed a special interest in treating vestibular disorders (imbalance, dizziness, and vertigo) and completed a competency based certification course in vestibular rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019.

Chris has been a registered physiotherapist since 2006 and has a broad array of experience working with people with orthopaedic and neurological conditions. Cathy is the other half of Dockside Physiotherapy. Originally from Toronto, she knows how to stay busy, and enjoys the hustle and bustle as our co-owner. Sheโs trained extensively in manual therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA, and has taken many pelvic health courses as well as presented on topics such as pelvic pain to postpartum health. She also holds certifications in IMS/dry needling.
After moving to Victoria with her husband, it didnโt take Cathy long to fall for the people, the city, and Vancouver Island in general.
