Nina was born and raised in Victoria. She spent 16 years as a competitive synchronized swimmer and coach, but these days she’s a mother of two young kids and struggles (just like everyone else) to squeeze her exercises in each day.

She attended the University of Victoria where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology before continuing on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2012.

Nina has continued her professional development by completing courses in functional dry needling/IMS, acupuncture, manual therapy, TMJ dysfunctions and concussions. She developed a special interest in treating vestibular disorders (imbalance, dizziness, and vertigo) and completed a competency based certification course in vestibular rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019.

Nina is passionate about helping people with their vestibular and orthopedic issues. She enjoys working together with her clients to get them back to doing the things they love as quickly as possible. Her treatment approach is client centered and uses a combination of education, exercise, manual therapy and dry needling.

Evan is an eclectic guy. In addition to being a physiotherapist and co-owner of the clinic, he often finds himself cycling (all over), paddle boarding, kayaking, tinkering in the garage, woodworking, gardening, adding to his vinyl music collection, and of course taking his kids and dog to the park.

He is dedicated to his patients, his profession, and lifelong learning. Evan obtained his Masters of Physical Therapy from Western University in 2012 and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) after having completed all the manual therapy levels of the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He also holds certifications in concussion management, IMS/dry needling, and bike fitting.

Chris is a man of many interests. He loves to sing, play the piano, juggle, cycle, weight-train, practice tai chi, read, write, spend time at the beach, and do brain games.

Chris has been a registered physiotherapist since 2006 and has a broad array of experience working with people with orthopaedic and neurological conditions. He utilizes knowledge from the growing fields of neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to rewire throughout life based on experience) and pain science to optimize recovery. He is particularly interested in helping people rehabilitate from complex and/or long-standing pain/injuries, and strongly believes that in many cases a full recovery is possible.

Chris’ treatments are individually tailored, but they generally include: normalizing sensation in the area(s) of pain/dysfunction, movement re-training, specific guidance about how to safely increase exercise/activity level, mindfulness training, providing education, and using a variety of methods to reestablish a healthy mind-body connection.

Cathy is the other half of Dockside Physiotherapy. Originally from Toronto, she knows how to stay busy, and enjoys the hustle and bustle as our co-owner. She’s trained extensively in manual therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA, and has taken many pelvic health courses as well as presented on topics such as pelvic pain to postpartum health.
